POLICIES

FEES AND MATERIALS – All fees include the cost of materials unless otherwise noted in the course descriptions. Payment is due at time of registration unless otherwise noted. There will be a $25 service charge on returned checks.

REFUNDS – There will be no refunds unless a class in cancelled.

MINIMUM ENROLLMENT – Group classes must meet a minimum enrollment of 5 students. Full refunds will be offered for any classes which do not fill. In the event that a class must be cancelled, participants will be notified at least 48 hours in advance.

MISSED LESSONS – Once enrolled, students are expected to attend all lessons. The NewArt School has a no makeup policy for group lessons. Students may make up two private lessons with prior approval from the instructor. If a class is cancelled due to inclement weather, teacher illness or emergency, the teacher will contact the students and reschedule the lesson.

PRIVATE LESSONS – Private lessons take place on a weekly basis from September through May. Students enrolling in private lessons will be expected to sign a contract to attend and pay for lessons for this entire period. Should lessons be discontinued before the end of the year, all fees are due and payable for that year. Payments may be paid in full at the time or enrollment, or divided into two or four equal payments.

HOLIDAY AND INCLEMENT WEATHER – The NewArt School follows the Newton-Conover School System’s closing policy for all holidays and inclement weather. However, we will have lessons on teacher workdays.
