Beginning Drawing and Painting:  young artists will explore proper technique, foster creativity and have fun learning introductory skills.  In this class, students will be drawing from still life to ‘not-so-still’ live learning to isolate the subject and how to make drawing their own.

Mixed Media:  young artists can give their art its own signature with this mixed media class.  Artists often combine various techniques or mediums, such as watercolor, arcrylic, gouache, pastels, charcoal, and more to make their artwork unique.

Fauvist Painting with Technique:  students will learn how to put their creativity into a particular time period by studying some of the Fauvist, or “wild beast,” painters.  Choose your favorite Fauvist painter and paint as they did.

Art and Music:  music and visual art together make for very original artwork!  By using ordinary natural objects and painting to the rhythm of ‘a different drum,’ students will learn how to be expressive and creative in a rhythmic way.  Time is of the essence, creativity is of the essence….

Cartooning, Manga, and Anime:  Learn the art and history of this popular medium.  Turn yourself, your mom or dad, or anyone else into a character!  Save the world!  This class will be filled with fun, action, color, and drama.

Weaving with Paper:  an introduction to the process of weaving with discussions, examples, and demonstration of plain and twill techniques.  Students will weave a variety of subjects.

Sculpture and Handbuilding Techniques with Clay:  This class will focus on learning basic techniques to create small sculpture with clay.  Students will learn simple methods to make creative projects of their own design.
